Fantastic News – we have reached our target!!!

It’s has been such an exciting day and a few hours ago we reached our target following some very kind pledges.

It has been a difficult year looking for funding, but what I really love about the crowdfund is that the women will know it has been made possible by a crowd of people who all cared and wanted to show their support.

In total we received 118 pledges to reach the target, plus we had a lot of help with publicity from people unable to pledge themselves. Thank you all for your generosity.

You will notice that the fund is still open and we have a new stretch target. A main element of this is to receive some help from a charity called Thrive ( so that we can maximise the therapeutic benefits of the scheme and achieve their quality standard.

Again, thanks to all our supporters – what an excellent way to start the Easter weekend!

A fantastic day in Bedford Park

Yesterday was a fantastic day in Bedford Park – helped by the weather of course.

We had many visitors to our stand and lots of children went home with seeds to grow. We also planted two wooden planters with flowers, herbs and summer bulbs – to live outside the cafe.

As a result of our stalls in the park and in town, we have raised a further £70 which I have added to the crowd fund. I know that other people we met have pledged on line.

I would like to thank everyone who has pledged and shown their support and belief in the scheme. The next 11 days are very important but I am confident that we will make out target.
